In Mantua, Lombardy city, blessed Giovanni Bono, hermit, who as a young man, left his mother and wandered through various parts of Italy, making juggler and comedian. At forty, on the occasion of a disease, he promised God leave the world for Christ and the Church love and penance, founding a congregation to which he gave the rule of St. Augustine.
