Saint Agnes

January 21st IV century

Memory of St. Agnes, Virgin and martyr, who while still a teenager, offered in Rome the Supreme witness of faith, dedicating the title of chastity with martyrdom. She won victory on her age and on the tyrant, aroused great admiration to the people and acquired a greater glory to the Lord. Today marks the day of her burial (s. III/IV). Roman martyrology
