  In Trier, Gaul Belgium, saint Maximinius, Bishop, who, as a courageous defender of the integrity of the faith against the Arians, welcomed fraternally [saint Atanasius of Alexandria] and other exiled bishops and, being expelled from his headquarters by his enemies, died in Poitiers, his native land (c. 346).
