• Saint Bernardo de Claraval

  Memory of St. Bernard, Abbot and doctor of the Church, who, having entered the new monastery of the Cistercian order, with thirty companions was afterwords founder and first Abbot of the monastery of Clairvaux, managing wisely the monks by the way of the commandments of the Lord, with his life, his teaching and his example. He again toured Europe to restore the peace and unity and lit up the Church with his writings and wise advice, until he rested with the Lord near Langres, France.

• Saint Samuel prophet

  Commemoration of saint Samuel, Prophet, who called by God, even as a child, later was judge in Israel and, by divine command, he anointed Saul as King over his people, but rejected by him for his lack of fidelity, he conferred also the actual anointing David, whose offspring were born Christ.
