  Commemoration of St. Elijah Tesbita, Prophet of the Lord in time of Ahab and Ococias, Kings of Israel, who defended the rights of the one God to the people unfaithful to his Lord, with such value that it foreshadows not only to John the Baptist but to Christ himself. He did not leave written oracles, but recalled him always faithfully, above all on Mount Carmel.
