Saint Peter Celestine Pope
In Rocca di Funone, near Alatri, Lazio, death of saint Peter Celestine, who, after having embraced the eremitical life in Abruzzo with a reputation for Holiness and being known for his miracles, already an octogenarian was elected Roman Pontiff, taking the name of Celestine V, but in the same year resigned from the job and chose to withdraw to the solitude.
