Saint Benet Biscop
In the monastery of Wearmouth in Northumbria (England today), saint Benet Biscop, Abbot, who made a pilgrimage to Rome, five times to where he brought many teachers and books to monks gathered at the closing of the monastery under the rule of Saint Benedict progressed in the science of the love of Christ, for the good of the Church (c. 690).
