Saint Francis of Paola
Saint Francis of Paola, hermit, founder of the order of the Minims in Calabria, by prescribing to his disciples that lived on alms, not having property or handling money, and who used only Lenten food. Called to France by the King Louis XI, he assisted him on his deathbed, and celebrated by the austerity of life, died at the same time at Plessis-les-Tours, along with Tours.
