Saint Pancras, martyr, who, according to tradition, died in Rome in full adolescence (14 years) for his faith in Christ, being buried on the via Aurelia, two milestones of the city. [Saint Símaco] Pope rose a famous basilica over his grave and the Pope [saint Gregory the Great I] summoned often to the people around the same grave, so that they receive the testimony of the true Christian love. This Day commemorates the burial of this Roman martyr (s. IV in.). Patron of the pastry chefs. Roman martyrology
