Solemnity of Saint Mary, Mother of God, in the octave of Christmas of the Lord and the day of his circumcision. The fathers of the Council of Ephesus hailed her as Theotocos, because in her the word was made flesh and dwelt among men, the son of God, Prince of peace, whose name is above all other name.
