Saint Mark Evangelist

Feast of saint Mark, Evangelist, who first followed saint Paul, in Jerusalem, in the apostolic work, and later followed in the footsteps of St. Peter, who calls him his son. It is said that his Gospel collected Peter's catechesis to the Romans and that it was he who instituted the Church of Alexandria (s. I). Roman martyrology
