In Lyon, city of Gaul (now France), death of saint Bonnet, Bishop of arvernia, who was prefect of Marseille when it was elevated to the episcopate to take the place of his brother Saint Avitus. Ten years later he resigned from the seat, withdrew to the monastery of Manglieu and, after pilgrimage to Rome, went back and died in Lyon (c. 710). Roman martyrology
