Saint Jerome Emiliani
He was born in Venice the year 1486. He left a career in arms to devote himself to the service of the poor among those who he distributed his goods. He founded the order of Clerics Regular of Somasca, to help children orphaned and poor. He died at Somasca (Bergamo) the year 1537.
