Memory of St. Barnabas, Apostle, honest male, full of spirit and faith, who formed part of the early believers in Jerusalem and preached the Gospel in Antioch and introduced Saul of Tarsus to the brothers, newly converted. With it he made a first trip to Asia to announce the word of God, then participated in the Council of Jerusalem and ended his days on the island of Cyprus, his homeland, constantly spreading the Gospel (century I).
