Saint Andrew Kaggwa

May 26th XIX century

In the place of Numyanyo, in Uganda, saint Andrew Kaggwa, martyr, head of the Kettledrummers and member of the Entourage of King Mwanga, who just converted to Christ, taught the doctrine of the Gospel to pagans and catechumens, who was cruelly murdered. With other twenty-one martyrs of Ugandan origin beatified the year 1920 by Benedict XV. Roman martyrology
