Saint Anastasius of Suania

In the fortress of Suania in the Caucasus Mountains, saint Anastasius, monk, disciple of [St. Maximus the Confessor], that, by defending the Orthodox faith, he was imprisoned and had to suffer all sorts of torments. He died in the fortress, or perhaps road, on his way toward her. Roman martyrology
