Sergiopolis, city of Persia (now Iran), passion of saint Anastasius, monk and martyr, who, after many torments he suffered in the city of Caesarea, Palestine, was strangled and beheaded near a river by order of the King of the Persians, Khosrau, after witnessing the death of seventy companions. Roman martyrology
