Saint Alexander of Jerusalem

Commemoration of St. Alexander, Bishop and martyr, who, going from Cappadocia to Jerusalem, received pastoral of the Holy City, where founded a precious library and opened a school, and when highlighted by the venerable and long age, was taken to Caesarea during the persecution under Decius, completing with a glorious martyrdom his confession of Christ (c. 250).
