In the town of Karadzar, near Karaganda in Kazakhstan, blessed Nykyta Budka, first bishop in Canada at the forefront of Catholics of the Byzantine rite, who in times of regime hostile to God, was deported to a concentration camp, where persevered in the faith faced, for Christ's sake, death with fortitude to all adversities.
