Blessed Luis Flores and companions

August 19th XVII century

In Nagasaki, Japan, blessed martyrs Luis Flores, priest of the order of preachers, Pedro de Zúñiga, priest of the order of the hermits of St. Augustine, and thirteen companions, Japanese, who led to port and detained sailors at that point, suffered a same martyrdom, between various tortures, together by the Christian faith. Their names: Blessed Joaquín Hirayama, León Sukeyemon, Miguel Diaz, Antonio Yamada, Marcos Takenoshima Shinyemon, Tomás Koyanagi, Jacobo Matsuo Denshi, Lorenzo Rokuemon, Pablo Saintkichi, John Yago, Juan Nagata Matakichi and Bartolomé Mohioye.
