Blessed Charles of Blois

September 29th XIV century

In Vannes, in the coast of lower Brittany (today France), blessed Charles of Blois, pious, meek and humble man, Duke of Brittany, who despite his desire to enter in the order of Friars Minor, felt obliged to vindicate the Principality against an opponent and, constant misfortunes man, suffered long imprisonment, being killed in a battle, next to the Aubray.
