Blessed Augustin Joseph Desgardin

Off the coast of Rochefort, France, blessed Augustin Joseph (Elias) Desgardin, Cistercian monk and martyr, who, during the French Revolution, by hatred of religion was taken from his monastery in Sept-Fonts and locked in an old ship, who was handed over to the care of their sick colleagues, dying by getting the sick also.
