Assumption of the Virgin Mary

Solemnity of the assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of our God and Lord Jesus Christ, who was elevated in body and soul to the glory of heaven at the end of her earthly life. This truth of faith, received from the tradition of the Church, was solemnly defined by Pope Pius XII in 1950.
